Your beloved LC-A+ has learned how to open his eye again and again. The Multiple
Exposure Switch
[15]
is at the bottom of your LC-A+, located between the Lens Cover
Switch
[6]
and the Tripod Thread [16]. After pressing the Shutter Release
[2]
and taking
a shot, push the Multiple Exposure Switch
[15]
once to the right. You can now fire a
second time on the same frame, thereby superimposing one image over another. Repeat
this as many times as you like – it's lots of fun! Be careful not to do this too many times in
bright light though – as your final image may be then very overexposed. If you're planning
a lot of multiple exposures in the sunlight, then you might want to set the Film Sensitivity
Dial
[13]
to an artificially high speed (eg. using ISO 100 film, but setting the camera
sensitivity to ISO 400). That will underexpose each individual shot so that the final image
is not blown out. You'll have to play around with it. Be sure to try it with a flash for more
excitement.

The practical little Focus Lever
[17]
on the right side of the Lens
[10]
is the manual
distance setting for your LOMO and is highly praised by specialists as one of the main
advantages of the LC-A+ compared to other compact cameras. It's quicker to use than any
auto-focus camera and you can always set your own focal depth. It's dead simple: without
even looking down, pull the Focus Lever
[17]
to the top (0.8 m, about 3') if you want to
go close-up. Move down one stop to shoot subjects at 1.5 m (4.5') and one more stop for
subjects at 3 m (10').
