Your LOMO accepts all standard hot shoe flashes – just slip your preferred flash right into
the hot shoe [19]. If you're shooting in a dark room, the meter will work as if there was no
flash attached. So, the camera will open its lens aperture to the maximum of f/2.8 (to get
in as much light as possible) and keep the shutter open for a long exposure. It's only when
the shutter closes (the second click) that the flash will fire. This feature, called "second-
curtain-flash", makes for hands-down magical results. Rather than the usual bright white
subjects on a sea of black, the long exposure yields a glowing, natural background – and
the flash freezes the subject in crisp, sharp light. The effect is simply stunning! If you want
to cut your exposure short, just release the Shutter Release
[2]
before the "second click"
– the shutter will instantly close and the flash will immediately fire. When using a flash, be
sure to set the Focus Lever
[17]
properly for your subject. Sometimes it's best to leave the
focus on one setting and just make sure that you always shoot from about that distance.

As you can see, the Shutter Release
[2]
is bright, shiny & silver. The little hole that you see
is meant to accommodate a standard screw-in cable release. Using a cable release allows
you to fire the Shutter Release

without touching or shaking the camera. Just place the
LC-A+ somewhere sturdy and shoot!
Using it with a tripod will give you the ultimate shake-free long exposure power. The thin
