Disconnect battery pack from tool or place the switch in the locked or off posi-
tion before making any assembly, adjustments or changing accessories. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
Inserting and Removing
Battery Pack
Use only Bosch or AMPShare
batteries recommended in
the battery/charger list, included with your
tool. Use of any other types of batteries may re-
sult in personal injury or property damage.
Ensure the switch is in the
off position before inserting
battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into
power tools that have the switch on invites ac-
cidents.
When using the GBH18V-22
rotary hammer with the
GDE18V-12 on-tool dust extraction attach-
ment, use only Bosch Core 4.0 Ah battery (or
higher) for proper operation. Use of Bosch bat-
teries with lower Ah rating may result in tool op-
erating with reduced performance, indicated by
flashing light and lower RPM.

To insert the battery pack:
1. Set forward/reversing lever and trigger lock
7 to the locked position.
2. Slide charged Battery Pack 10 into the hous-
ing until the battery pack locks into position.
Your tool is equipped with a secondary locking
latch to prevent the battery pack from complete-
ly falling out of the handle, should it become
loose due to vibration.
To remove the battery pack:
1. Press the Battery Pack Release Button 6 and
slide the Battery Pack 10 from the housing.
2. Press the Battery Pack Release Button 6
again and slide the Battery Pack 10 com-
pletely out of tool housing.
