5.3 PRIMER
Press the primer bulb to inject fuel into the
carburettor intake manifold to facilitate start-up
when the engine is cold (fig. 10.F).
5.4 HANDLE FOR MANUAL START
Enables manual starting of the engine (fig. 10.C).
5.5 ELECTRIC STARTER
CONTROL (OPTIONAL)
Enables electric starting of the engine (fig. 10.E)
when the machine is connected to the electric
mains using the specific plug (fig. 10.D).
5.6 AUGER CONTROL
Activates auger rotation.
• To activate auger rotation, lift the control
(fig. 6.A) until it meets the handle.
• When the clutch is released, auger rotation
stops and the lever automatically returns to the
start position.
5.7 CHUTE
ADJUSTMENT CONTROL
Rotation of the discharge chute is adjusted using
the handle so that snow discharge can be aimed
in the required direction.
• Turn the knob (fig. 8.A) to adjust the chute.
• Turn the deflector handle (fig. 9.A) to adjust the
direction.
6. USING THE MACHINE
The safety regulations to follow during
machine use are described in chap. 2. Strictly
comply with these instructions to avoid
serious risks or hazards.
6.1 PREPARATION
Before using the machine check for fuel and the
oil level. For refuelling and oil top-up methods and
precautions (see par. 7.2 and par. 7.3).

6.3 ENGINE
TESTING
Action

Press the auger
control (fig. 6.A)
Release the auger control. The auger stops.
If any of the results fails to match the
indications provided in the following table, do
not use the machine! Take it to a service centre
to be checked and repaired if necessary.
6.4 START-UP / OPERATION
1. Insert the safety key (fig. 10.B).
6.4.1 Cold start
1. Engage the choke (fig. 10.G).
2. Press the primer bulb (fig. 10.F) twice or three
times. Make sure that the hole is covered by
your finger when pressing the bulb.
3. Start, using the electric control (par. 6.4.4) or
manual control (par. 6.4.3).
4. Disconnect the choke (fig. 10.G).
IMPORTANT Before starting work with the
machine, wait a few minutes for the oil to warm up.
6.4.2 Warm start
1. Check the choke is disconnected (fig. 10.G).
2. Start the machine electrically or manually (see
below).
