And so the following rule must be remembered:
• the "UPPER" limit switch is always the one with the arrow that shows the direction in which the
motor winds up the blind.
• the "LOWER" limit switch is always the one with the arrow that shows the direction in which the
motor unwinds the blind.
Having identified the limit switch to be adjusted, turn the screw in these directions:
-
"
" = to decrease the travel
+
"
" = to increase the travel
1. Run the motor DOWN and at the same time turn the LOWER limit switch screw in the "
until the motor stops. If the motor goes beyond the LOWER limit switch position required without
stopping, proceed as follows:
a) stop the motor
b) run the motor, and without touching the LOWER limit switch, take the blind up to half way.
c) run the motor DOWN and at the same time turn the LOWER limit screw in the "
until the motor stops. If the motor still goes beyond the LOWER limit required without
stopping, repeat the operation from point a.
2. Once the LOWER limit is reached, the motor stops. At this point, if the position needs to be corrected,
then:
• to shorten the travel of the blind:
d) run the motor UP so the blind is raised by a few cms.
e) turn the LOWER limit screw a few turns in the "
f) run the motor DOWN and see where the motor stops. If necessary repeat the operation from
point d.
• to lengthen the travel:
g) with the motor stopped at the LOWER limit switch and not supplied with. power, turn the
LOWER limit screw a few turns in the "
h) run the motor DOWN and see where the motor stops. If necessary repeat the operation from
point g.
3. Run the motor UP and at the same time turn the UPPER limit switch screw in the "
motor stops. If the motor goes beyond the UPPER limit switch position required without stopping,
proceed as follows:
A) stop the motor.
B) run the motor DOWN, and without touching the UPPER limit switch, take the blind down to half
way.
C) run the motor UP and at the same time turn the UPPER limit switch screw in the "
until the motor stops. If the motor still goes beyond the UPPER limit required without stopping,
repeat the operation from point A.
4. Once the UPPER limit is reached, the motor stops. At this point, if the position needs to be corrected,
then:
• to shorten the travel of the blind:
D) run the motor DOWN so the blind drops by a few cms.
E) turn the UPPER limit switch screw a few turns in the "
F) run the motor UP and see where the motor stops. If necessary repeat the operation from point D.
• to lengthen the travel:
G) with the motor stopped at the LOWER limit switch and not supplied with power, turn the
LOWER limit screw a few turns in the "
H) run the motor UP and see where the motor stops. If necessary repeat the operation from point G.
5. Once the UPPER limit switch has been corrected, check that the system works properly by moving the
motor in both directions until it stops at the limit switches.
