5 Starting up the generator with battery*

*Only models with electrical startup, for manual startup models continue to
point 5-B on page 16.
1 Turn the gasoline shutoff valve to "ON".
GASOLINE VALVE
2Move the choke lever to "close air" position according the picture below, this
position help to start more easily in cold condition.In the GUARDIAN SC6 and
GUARDIAN FR6 models is not necessary make this step due the choke work
automatically.

It may not be necessary to use the choke if the engine was shut down recently and
is hot.
