8.2 Understanding the general operation
1 When city power is supplied:simply power goes through the generator to the
switchboard in the house:
2 If there is a power outage: 220V city power no longer reaches the generator,
then the generator detects the lack of voltage and performs two steps:
 A It changes the generator's transfer contactor allowing the energy passage
from the generator and annulling the city power line (thereby ensure that
when the city energy returns, it will not supply energy at the same time with
the energy supplied by the generator.
 B It initiates the generator's startup maneuver. Once the generator is
started the power is restored in the house switchboard.
3 City power return: When the generator detects a city power return, it performs
two steps:
 A: The generator's internal contactor cuts off the generator's supply and
allows the passage of the city line power.
 B: The generator turns off automatically
