Scope of Delivery
2.6
Battery voltage 12 V=
Parts of the appliances are supplied via the on-board
power supply by 12 V batteries. In case of high electri-
cal loads or a short circuit, very high currents may flow
in the cables which make the cables hot and may lead
to cable fire.
Follow the installation instructions. Especially in-
formation about cable cross-sections, fuses and
insulation.
2.7
Protection against electrostatic
discharge (ESD)
Electrostatic charges can damage electronic compo-
nents (circuit boards).
Observe the ESD regulations.
Ensure potential compensation before touching the
electronics.
2.8
Equipment safety
Information may be attached to appliances.
Observe information attached directly to the
appliance.
Keep the attached information in a legible condition
at all times and do not cover it.
Safety devices may be attached to appliances.
Risk of injury if the safety device is missing or faulty.
After installation make sure that all safety devices
(covers, safety instructions, earth cable, etc.) are
present.
Replace faulty and unusable safety devices.
2.9
Original spare parts
Using parts (additional components, spare and wearing
parts) outside the manufacturer's specifications may
affect the function and safety of the appliance, damage
the vehicle and/or limit the warranty and manufacturer's
liability.
Use only original components, spare and wearing
parts from Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co KG.

Installing Ultraheat
The following illustrations show the installation box
of Truma S 3004 / S 5004 heaters.
4.1
Selecting a location
The Ultraheat additional heater is installed in the S-heat-
er. If the S-heater is installed below parts containing
water (sink, shower), installation of the additional heater
is forbidden. There would be a risk of electric shock if
water got into the control unit.
Retrofitting Ultraheat
If an Ultraheat is retrofitted, the S-heater, including
installation box and fan, must be disassembled. This
is not necessary if the appliance is installed from the
beginning.
To install and disassemble the S-heater, refer to the
installation instructions of the respective S-heater and
any optional parts that are installed.
When the S-heater has been disassembled, install the
Ultraheat in the installation box as described below.
When re-installing the S-heater, use a new form ring
when installing the exhaust cowl. This is included with
delivery of the Ultraheat.
