Installing Ultraheat
4.2.3 Installing the temperature switch and
control panel cable
Use a magnetic screwdriver or PZ2 bit (Pozidriv No.
2) to tighten the self-tapping screws. If you are using
a battery-powered screwdriver, set it to the lowest
torque and speed. Do not overtighten the self-tap-
ping screws.

Installing Ultraheat in Truma S 5004
4.3.1 Preparing the installation box
There are two versions of the installation box. The differ-
ence is a perforation for the temperature switch inside
the installation box and a perforation for the control
panel cable outside the installation box. The two ver-
sions require different work steps.
If the perforations are present, break them out or bend
them over. Then insert the temperature switch with a
screw.
If there are no perforations, the respective holes and
openings must be made using the enclosed template.
Then insert the temperature switch with two screws.
CAUTION
Risk of cuts from sharp edges on the instal-
lation box.
Wear safety gloves.

Break off the lower part (Fig. 8-1) of the installation
box interior part at the perforation (Fig. 8-2). To do
this, bend the lower part back and forward with your
hand until it breaks off.
This part is not longer required.
Break out the hole for the additional heater (Fig. 8-3)
on the installation box exterior part. To do this, use a
screwdriver to lever out the perforated opening near
the supports.
