RECORDING CALIBRATION
(REC CAL)
Pressing the REC
CAL button causes this unit to output
standard signals of 400 Hz which can be used to adjust
the recording level! of a cassette or open reel tape deck.
Adjustment Procedure.
1. Press the REC
CAL button on the unit, causing the
corresponding indicator to light up.
2. Set the deck to the record/pause mode; then adjust
its recording level with the REC
VOLUME control to
read O dB on the level meter.
3. Press the REC
CAL button once more to cancel the
REC
CAL mode (causing its indicator to go off).
Since disc signal output levels vary throughout play,
the above procedure is recommended as a standard
for adjusting the recording level.
THE SYNCHRO OPERATION
JACK
The SYNC jack located on the rear panel of the unit per-
mits connection with certain AIWA cassette decks or
stereo systems. It is a convenient facility that enables
the deck to begin recording at the same time the disc
player begins playback.
CLEANING
When the cabinet becomes dirty, wipe it off using either
a piece of gauze or soft cloth dipped in a diluted solution
of a neutral detergent. Never use benzene, thinner or
other such solutions or a chemically-treated cloth to
wipe the cabinet, and avoid contact with spray aerosols,
as these may cause discoloration of the cabinet or
damage its finish.
