To guarantee correct device operation, it is important to ensure that the
cleaning operations described below are carried out carefully. Otherwise,
the device might not dispense the medicinal product the next time it is used, or the
medicinal product might be dispensed, but very slowly and not at the ideal speed.
Remember to turn off the device after use.
After each use, first dispose of any remaining medication and remove the accessory from
the main unit to clean it thoroughly. Dry the components immediately after washing. Do
not store if the main unit, medication reservoir or other accessories are wet or damp. Do not
recharge the device during cleaning.
Cleaning the Main Body
• Clean the body of the device with a dry cloth. In case of medicine residues on the contact
electrodes, clean using preferably moistened medical gauze.
Do not rinse or immerse the main unit in any liquid.
Cleaning the components
• Immerse the cap, the medicine reservoir and the accessory used in hot water (not more
than 40°C) for about 5 minutes..
• Dry the components, preferably using medical gauze.
• Then proceed with a thorough cleaning, using hydrogen peroxide or alcohol.
a) Cleaning with hydrogen peroxide
• Soak all components (cap, reservoir and accessory) in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 10
minutes.
• Rinse all components with distilled water, then dry preferably with medical gauze or
leave to air dry.
b) Disinfection with alcohol
• Immerse all components (cap, reservoir and accessory) in 75% medical alcohol for 10
minutes.
• Rinse all components with distilled water, then dry with medical gauze or leave to
air dry.
