To do a check of the parallelism of the
cutting deck
1. Do a check of the air pressure in the tires. Refer to
Tire pressure on page 51 .
2. Park the product on a level surface.
3. Lower the cutting deck to mow position.
4. Set the cutting height to the lowest position. Refer

5. Measure the distance between the ground and the
front and rear edges of the cutting deck. Make sure
that the rear edge is 5–10 mm (0.2–0.4 in.) higher
than the front edge.

3. Remove the clevis joint on the rear end of the height
adjustment stay from the frame of the cutting deck.
4. Loosen the locknuts on the lift stay.
5. Turn the adjustment nut on the lift stay to adjust the
length of the lift stay. Increase the length to lift the
rear edge of the cover. Decrease the length to lower
the rear edge of the cover.
6. Obey the instructions in
parallelism of the cutting deck on page 55 .
7. Tighten the locknuts on the lift stay when the length
of the lift stay is correct.
