ABS/ PRESET
Absolute/relative measurement switch
In the normal measurement mode, short press the ABS/PRESET button to switch between relative measurement and absolute
measurement, with the "ABS" sign indicating absolute measurement. After switching between measurements, the dial indicator will
display the zero point in relative measurement; whereas it will show the absolute value of the stylus in the absolute measurement
mode.
The current absolute value of the spindle is 10,000 mm. The device will switch between relative measurement and absolute
measurement.
PRESET VALUE SETTING
In the ABS measurement mode, under the metric unit system, long press the ABS/PRESET button to enter the "preset value"
mode. The last digit will start flashing, thereby becoming a changeable value. Short press the In/mm button, to set values 0 to
9. Press the ZERO/ON button to switch to the next value to be set. Repeat the operation until the last value to be set is entered.
Long press the ABS/PRESET button to confirm the set values. When the pre-setting mode is exited, the dial indicator will
automatically enter the absolute measurement mode. The value displayed in the absolute zero point will be the preset value.
Warning
The procedure for setting the "preset value" also applies to the setting of both "relative measurement" in the metric unit and
"relative/absolute measurement" according to the British unit of measurement system.
The "preset value" can be set according to users' requirements.
In/mm UNIT OF MEASUREMENT SETTING
Short press the In/mm button, to switch between the metric unit system and the British unit system.
"mm" indicates the metric unit; whereas "In" indicates the British unit.
Long press the In/mm button to select the type of measurement value. The display will show the symbol indicating the type of
positive/negative measurement value.
Minus value measurement:
The value will switch from zero to minus in the relative measurement mode and from the preset value to minus in the absolute
measurement mode.
Positive value measurement:
The value will switch from zero to positive in relative measurement.
