1. Make sure that all connections have been done
correctly.
2. Switch on the power supply.
3. Use the R100 to configure the system.

Display, Twin-head pump
This display (fig. 5) is only available when the R100
is pointed at the master pump (1).
In this display, the operating mode of the twin-head
pump can be selected.
Three operating modes are available:
•
Alternating (alternating operation)
•
Synchron. (synchronous operation)
•
Standby (standby operation).
5. Single-pump operation
In addition to the three operating modes mentioned
in section 4. System configuration, the twin-head
pump offers the operating mode "Single-pump
operation".
When single-pump operation is selected, the pumps
are operating completely independently of each
other without internal communication, but the twin-
head cable must be connected.
5.1 Why select single-pump operation?
Select single-pump operation
•
when the twin-head pump is to be controlled or
monitored by a Grundfos pump management
system.
•
in all other situations where the master and slave
pumps are to operate independently of each other
as two single-head pumps.

5.2 R100 remote control
Use the R100 to set the pump to single-pump
operation.
The R100 must be upgraded for the control of UPED
twin-head pumps. If the R100 cannot show the
display "Twin-head pump", it must be upgraded
before the setting can be made.
The position of the display "Twin-head pump" in the
menu structure appears from section 7.3 R100 in the
general installation and operating instructions.
5.3 Changing between twin- and single-
pump operation
Setting the pump to single-pump operation:
1. Point the R100 at the master pump (1).

3. Select either "Twin" or "Single", and press [OK].
