Start-up
Removing iso-strips
The battery is already inserted upon delivery
and fitted with an iso-strip to prevent it from
discharging ahead of time. In order to start
up the scale, you must remove the iso-strip.
The battery compartment is located on the
underside of the display unit.
1. Loosen the screw securing the battery
compartment cover using a thin cross-
head screwdriver.
2. Fold down the battery compartment
cover.
3. Pull out the iso-strip.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover
and screw the cross-head screw back in.
Choosing the unit of
measurement
When the scales are delivered, the unit of
measurement is set to "kg" as standard.
The measurement result can also be
displayed in the Imperial units: "lb" (pound)
and "st" (stone pound).
1. Apply a little force to either of the
weighing surfaces to switch the scale on.
2. To select the desired unit of
measurement, press repeatedly the UNIT
button on the back of the scale. Note the
display.
Setting up the scale
− Place the scale on an even, firm and
dry surface. Do not place the scale on a
carpet.
