Use of the brakes and parking brakes
1. Always use both brakes simultaneously.
2. To slow down or stop the rollator for a short time,
brake by simultaneously pulling the brake levers
upwards/ towards you until you have reached the
desired speed or stopped. 3.
3. To lock the parking brakes, push the brake levers
forward at the same time until they engage. 4.
4. 4. to release the parking brake, simultaneously pull
the brake levers towards you/backwards until they
disengage from the lock.
5. Make sure that the Bowden cables run in front of the rollator and are not twisted. 6.
6. The braking effect is adjusted on the brake lever or the Bowden cable. The brakes are
correctly adjusted if the brake levers have no play and the wheels turn without grinding
noises when the brake is released.
Safety instruction
•
- Only use the rollator if it is in perfect condition. Do not use a defective rollator!
•
- Before each use, make sure that the rollator is fully unfolded and the seat is locked in
place.
•
- Make sure that the handles are at the same height and test the stability of the rollator
before carefully putting all your weight on it.
•
- Test the brakes before each use and always use the right and left brakes at the same
time to brake!
•
- Pay attention to the wear of the tyres! Heavily worn tyres can impair the braking effect
of the rollator. Have damaged parts replaced by your specialist dealer.
