Installing on vehicle roof:
WARNING
Installing or using the carrier bars improperly can cause
the carrier bars and anything on them to fall off the
vehicle causing an accident and/or serious injury.
• Always make sure that all bolts and fasteners are
properly installed and properly tightened before every
journey and at each break on a longer journey. Check
the system and retighten the screws/bolts as necessary.
• All connections must be checked at shorter intervals
when travelling over poor road surfaces or hilly or
mountainous terrain, for example, at breaks when
travelling on longer journeys.
• Always properly install special fittings for bicycles, skis,
surfboards etc.
• Never use damaged, inadequately strong or unsuitable
belts/ropes or other securing devices to secure objects
on the carrier bars.
Note
Before fitting roof rail carrier bars and carrier bars, throughly
clean contact area surfaces using a soft cloth and an alcohol
