The front screw can be unscrewed to allow the removal and collection of the
skins and seeds: the larger the opening, the more waste will be expelled, but
also part of the pulp intended for the purée. Therefore, it is advisable to keep
the screw tightened at the start and open it gradually as the waste is
progressively reprocessed.
At the end, stop the appliance by pressing "OFF" on key (4).
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and proceed with cleaning.
In case of blockage
Normally, the food flows smoothly and continuously in the moving parts: certain
factors may cause obstructions and/or blockages that can be recognised by the
following signs:
The motor slows down: motor rotation noticeably slows.
A sharp decrease in the volume of material produced.
The motor body is affected by vibrations and instability.
In the most serious cases, a bad odour will be emitted from the motor body.
Obstructions are mainly due to the introduction of particularly stringy meat, or due to
the presence of bone and cartilage. When used as a tomato press, the obstructions
are normally due to excess waste, the expulsion of which needs to be aided by
gradually unscrewing the front screw as described in the previous chapter.
In case of a blockage, do not persist with normal use as sudden strain may damage the
mechanical parts and motor. The simplest way to free the appliance is to start reverse
rotation for a few moments: press the consent key (16) on the rear side and check that
it stays in the pressed position, then start reverse rotation by pressing "R" on the start
button (4). Hold "R" pressed for 3/5 seconds and check whether the blocked part is
freed.
To resume normal operation, press the rear key (16) again and check that it is properly
extracted, then press "ON" again on key 4 to continue.
If the reverse rotation procedure does not free the blockage, it can be repeated a few
times; if the problem still persists, disconnect the plug from the power socket and
disassemble the mechanical parts to manually remove the blockage.
Disassembly
To disassemble the appliance at the end of use, carry out the assembly procedure in
reverse: the different parts are, in fact, disassembled by following the above-described
procedure in reverse, albeit taking several precautions:
As in all cases when contact is made with mechanical parts, the power cord
must be strictly disconnected from the electrical outlet.
