9. Storage quantities
The national regulations must be observed.

collection volume of 10% of all vessels stored in
the cabinet, or at least 110% of the volume of the
largest single container, whichever is the greater."

10. Ventilation
The safety cabinet has a supply air and an exhaust
air connection. In the event of a fire, the supply and
exhaust air openings of the safety cabinet close
automatically at an airflow temperature of 70°C
(±10°C).

Please note:
In general, connecting the safety cabinet
to a ventilation system is recommended.
The position of the supply and exhaust air connec-
tions is shown in Annex 1. The exhaust air vent
(DN75) must be connected to the exhaust pipe
(suction side). The exhaust air must be routed via
a pipe to a non-hazardous location outside the
building. The supply air is extracted from the sur-
rounding area (installation space in the building).
Proper connection to a ventilation system must be
checked after installation using a smoke tube, for
example. The national rules, laws and regulations
must be observed with regards to air changes and
exhaust air routing.
In general, when the door is closed, an air change
corresponding to at least 10 times the empty
volume of the cabinet interior per hour must take
place. The pressure difference between the pres-
sure at the connection point of the ventilation
system and the ambient pressure must not exceed
150 Pa (also see Annex 2).
Observe the position of the fans on the cabinet
ceiling (figure) and the maximum load on the
cabinet ceiling (20 kg), install the fan and select an
appropriate fan (see accessories).
