5.2 Connector for a vacuum extraction sys-
tem (Fig. 3)
Connect a suitable vacuum extraction system (a)
to the dust extraction connector. The dust will be
extracted directly through the abrasive paper and
the grinding/sanding disk into the dust bag.
5.3 Changing the grinding/sanding belt
(Fig. 4-8/Item 11)
Press the clamping lever for the grinding/san-
ding belt (8) forwards until you hear it latch in
place.
Now you can place the grinding/sanding belt
(11) around the drive roller as shown in Fig. 6
(10) and then around the tip of the grinding/
sanding belt arm (12) (Fig. 7).
Make sure that the running direction of the
grinding/sanding belt (see arrow on the inside
of the grinding/sanding belt) is the same as
the running direction of the Belt file.
Pull the clamping lever (8) back to the rear in
order to tension the grinding/sanding belt.
5.4 Adjusting the belt running position
(Fig. 9/Item 9)
Hold the Belt file by the handle and switch it
on with the On/Off switch (5).
By turning the setting screw for adjusting the
grinding/sanding belt (9) you must adjust the
belt running position such that the grinding/
sanding belt (11) runs centrally on the grin-
ding/sanding belt arm (12).
6. Starting up
6.1 Switching ON/OFF (Fig. 10)
To switch on:
Press the ON/OFF switch (5).
Continuous operation:
Secure the switch (5) with the locking button (4).
To switch off :
Press the ON/OFF switch (5) briefl y.
The machine can be operated on a temporary or
permanent setting.
6.2 Setting the belt speed (Fig. 10/ Item 3)
You can select the belt speed by turning the set-
ting knob (3).

PLUS direction:
Increase belt speed
MINUS direction:
Reduce belt speed
6.3 Instructions for use
Warning! The workpiece you want to grind or
sand must never be held in your hand. Secure the
workpiece on a sturdy surface or with a vise.
Allow the Belt file to start running before you
place it on the workpiece.
Do not switch off the Belt file while it is still
touching the workpiece.
Always hold the Belt file with both hands while
it is running.
Always grind or sand wooden workpieces in
the direction of the grain.
7. Replacing the power cable
Danger!
If the mains connection lead on the electric tool is
damaged, it must replaced by a specially prepa-
red connection lead available from our customer
service organization.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before star-
ting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished
using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.
