CONTROLS
Note: The fan must be switched on.
As required:
• Lower the side brushes accordingly (operate pedal)
• Side brush switch in Pos. I (ON), Pos.0 (OFF)
• Sweeping roller switch in Pos. I )ON, Pos. 0 (OFF).
• Shaker in Pos. I (ON), Pos.0 (OFF)
• Operate selector (side brush swivel out to the side).
Using the unit on Carpet
Static electricity can be generated when cleaning carpet surfaces because of
the friction between brushes, shoes and carpet fibers. If a person then touches a
conductive object, such as a metal doorknob or another object, the excess charge
will discharge resulting in a static shock. This can be avoided by wearing shoes
with anti-static soles and the proper personal protective equipment (Latex gloves
can protect you from static electricity). To achieve best results on carpet floors
it is necessary to adjust the sweeping pattern to .79" (20 mm). See "Setting the
Sweeping Pattern".
Switching OFF the Sweeper
• Set down the machine on a level, dry and protected ground surface.
• Switch off the roller brush, side brush and vacuuming system.
• Put the key into the " 0 " position (anticlockwise) and pull out.
• Fold in the side brush.
• Raise up the side brush with the pedal.
• When setting down, the machine has to be secured against inadvertent
movement.
Do not sweep up any straps, wires or similar as this may cause damage
to the sweeping mechanism.
