2 Safety
2.2 Responsibilities of the operator/system integrator
Risk of injury due to electromagnetic fields
The device can produce electromagnetic fields that could impact the proper function of cardiac
pacemakers and implanted defibrillators.
► Do not use the device if you have a pacemaker or an implanted defibrillator.
► The device may be used only in industrial zones according to DIN EN 61000-6-3.
► Appoint a laser safety officer in writing in accordance with DGUV regulation 11. The laser safety officer
is responsible for ensuring that the users of the laser system receive sufficient training. Training must
be provided at least once a year and offer comprehensive information about the risks of laser radiation
and the safety measures needed to avoid these.
► The device must only be used in systems that have been clearly marked with their laser protection class.
The system operator is responsible for the appropriate marking.
► Create the risk assessment for the product within the specific machine.
► Unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering places of work in which laser radiation is used as
well as from operating laser-emitting devices.
► Ensure that the device is correctly integrated into the safety circuit and control connections.
► Ensure the device is only used by personnel who are not under the influence of medication, alcohol or
other substances that affect reactions.
If cooling liquid escapes into the area of installation due to a leak, the floor can become slippery. People
can slip and fall.
► Apply non-slip surfaces to all areas where people move around.
► Ensure the area of installation is regularly cleaned.
► We recommend installing a cooling liquid flow monitor to detect any leaks.
