WARNING:
• Always stop the tool and disconnect the battery before any adjustment or maintenance operation.
• Apply any appropriate preventive safety measures and observe occupational health and safety rules.

4.2 Battery and charger
In extreme situations, the battery may produce liquid ; avoid any contact. In the event of accidental contact, wash thoroughly with water. In
case of contact of the liquid with the eyes, call a physician immediately.
• Recharge the battery using the charger supplied with the tool or a « Metabo / CAS » type charger.
• Do not touch the charger's contacts.
• Do not expose the battery or the charger to rain or snow.
• Do not recharge your battery in a location that is exposed to direct sunlight.
• Do not recharge the battery in the presence of flammable liquids or gasses.
• Always use the charger in a temperature range between 0°C and 50°C.
• Ensure the ventilation slots are not obstructed.
• Disconnect the charger once charging finished.
• The batteries may be subject to leaks when damaged or used in bad conditions.
• To prevent short-circuits when the battery is neither on the machine nor charger, prevent contact between the battery and metallic objects
(nail, screw, etc.).
• Never use a damaged charger.
• Never use the charger if the lead or connector are damaged.
• Never use a damaged battery, change it immediately.
• Never attempt to disassemble the charger or battery.
• Never attempt to use the charger to recharge non rechargeable batteries.
• Never overload the battery.
4.3 Disposing of the batteries
• Do not disassemble the battery or remove any
component protecting the terminals.
• Li-Ion batteries must be collected, recycled and
disposed using environmentally healthy practises.
5 Presentation of the tool
Before using the tool, read the instructions on its specific operation and safety conditions applicable. The tool and its accessories must be
used only for the work they were designed for. Any other use is strictly forbidden.
5.1 Charging and installing the battery
5.1.1
Charging the battery
• Connect the charger to mains.
• Insert the battey into the charger.

WARNING: read all instructions above before using the charger. Non application of all instructions may cause an electric shock,
fire or severe body injury.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• The battery's temperature increases when used with the crimper. If the battery is charged immediately after use, it will not be
fully recharged. Leave the battery to cool before recharging it.
• If the right-hand LED on the charger stays lit in red, remove the battery and before reinserting it, wait for its temperature to
drop between 0°C and 50°C.
• Batteries warm up when being charged. Do not overload the batteries.
• If the right-hand LED on the charger flashes red, the battery is out of service and must be changed.
5.1.2
Installing the battery on the crimper

This may cause a fire or injury. Before disposing the batteries, protect
the terminals exposed using thick insulating tape to prevent short-
circuits.
Most industrial supply distributors and supplies of office equipment
usually offer to collect and recycle batteries.
Ensure the charger is adapted to the network it will be connected to.
Ensure the battery is inserted properly into the charger.
The battery LED on the charger flashes green. During charging, the area
around the charger must be clear to prevent any risk of fire due to heating.
The battery LED on the charger is lit in green steady: the battery is fully
charged. To warranty an optimum lifetime, we recommend to charge the
battery at maximum capacity every time. The charging time is about 40min.
Align the grooves on the battery with those on the crimper handle and
push in until it clicks.
