This power tool is supplied by a 18V battery. Radiophonic jamming complies with the Directive on electromagnetic compatibility 2014/30/UE.
This power tool was designed to crimp couplings on pipes.
WARNING: Never activate the power tool without mounting a main jaw or mini jaw.
Never activate the power tool without fitting the inserts in the main jaw.
WARNING: disconnect the battery before any adjustment or maintenance operation.
6.1 Assembly
The machine can be used:
-
With standard or offset inserts in the VIRAX range mounted on the VIRAX main jaw.
-
With mini-jaws in the VIRAX range (not requiring any main jaw).
6.1.1
Mounting main jaw and inserts
• Disconnect the battery from the crimper.
• Unlock the locking button.
• Install the main jaw.
• Push and lock the locking button.
• Inserting inserts into the main jaw.
6.1.2
Mounting the mini-jaws
• Disconnect the battery from the crimping.
• Unlock the mini-jaw.
• Install the mini-jaw.
• Push and lock the locking button.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• After installing the inserts or mini-jaws, check visually they are centred properly.
• The inserts and mini-jaws have a very powerful tightening effect. Keep your fingers away from the profile.
6.2 Disassembly
6.2.1
Removing the inserts
• Disconnect the battery from the crimper.
• Open the main jaw manually.
• Extract the inserts.
6.2.2
Removing the mini-jaws
• Disconnect the battery from the crimper.
• Release the locking system.
• Extract the mini jaw.
6.3 Preparing the tube and coupling
6.3.1
Tube preparation
WARNING: non-respect of any instructions below may cause bad crimping and increase the risks of water, fire or explosion
damage.
Omitting to deactivate the machine or disconnect the crimper battery before
adjusting or changing accessories may cause severe body injuries.
Turn the unlocking button to release the axis
Align the main jaw with the axis of the locking system
Push the axis of the locking button into the hole in the main jaws and turn by a
half turn.
Once the insert chosen, slide it by one of the sides of the clamp in the clamp
jaws

Turn the unlocking button to release the axis
Align the clamp with the axis of the locking system
Push the axis of the locking button into the hole in the clamp and turn by a half
turn.
Omitting to disconnect the battery before adjusting or changing accessories
may cause severe body injury.
Extracting the inserts is easier to perform when the main jaw is in the open
position. Never open the main jaw when activating the machine.
Slide the inserts to one of the sides of the main jaw.
Omitting to disconnect the battery before adjusting or changing accessories
may cause severe body injury.
Turn the locking button by a half turn. A spring under the locking button helps
extracting the axis.
An injury may occur as the mini-jaw can be extracted by falling under its own
weight. Extract the mini-jaw from the front of the machine.
