8 Servicing and maintenance
WARNING: disconnect the battery before any adjustment or maintenance operation.
8.1 General inspection
Check regularly all the fastening elements to ensure they are fastened tight.
The checking visit must be performed every 20,000 cycles. When the 20,000 cycles are reached, the crimper locks and prevents execution
of additional crimping cycles. This blockage minimizes the risk of bad crimping following heavy use of the machine, and prevents it from
being dangerous for its user. The user must hence send the crimper to the After-Sales Service.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• When the crimper is sent to the After-Sales Service, the cycle counter is reset to zero. The internal components are checked
and may be repaired or replaced.
• Any lack of servicing may be detrimental to proper operation of the crimper, and may cause severe body injury to the user.
8.2 Maintenance of the crimper
• Clean and grease regularly the crimping rollers to prevent dust and other impurities from building up.
8.3 Maintenance of motor
• Ensure the machine's ventilation slots are not obstructed. Remove any dust and other impurities built up.
8.4 Connecting to the application
• The crimping machine can be connected to a Smart Phone or tablet application through a Bluetooth connection. Using the application, you
can set up your machine, know the number of crimping operations performed, the number of crimping operations before the next
maintenance and many other functions.
The application is available for download on Google play or the Apple store, and the application's operating manual is available on our web
site: www.virax.com.
