MAINTENANCE
Your bike requires regular maintenance and inspections adapted to your use. Periodic checks must be carried out by qualified, experienced
mechanics.
WARNING, like any mechanical component, a cycle undergoes high stress and wears out. The different materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue.
If a component's expected life span is exceeded, it may break suddenly, thus risking injury to the cyclist. Cracks, chips and discolouring in high-stress areas indicate that
the component has exceeded its lifespan and should be replaced. To assess this, have parts that wear (including the rims, brakes, tyres, steering and transmission of your
bicycle) regularly checked, maintained and adjusted by a qualified, experienced mechanic. When replacing components, you must use genuine spare parts to ensure the
safety and reliability of the bike.

ACCESSORIES
• The kickstand does not guarantee the stability of the bicycle if used on unstable or sloping ground. Make sure to use it on stable, level ground. Do not leave your
child in the baby seat or on the luggage rack when the bike is parked on its kickstand.
• This bike can accommodate a luggage rack. We recommend reference 8828232 which is compatible with your bike. Refer to your luggage rack instructions for
assembly as well as for the maximum loads supported by it.
• This bike can accommodate a baby carrier. A child seat can be fitted to a bicycle if the saddle springs are protected (to prevent the child's fingers from being
trapped). Refer to your baby carrier instructions for assembly as well as for the maximum loads supported by it.
• The addition of bar end is possible on this bike. For the assembly and tightening torques of the aerodynamic extensions, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
Attaching a trailer is possible on this bike.
• Always use a trailer meeting the Bicycle trailer standard - EN 15918 for Europe. Refer to the trailer instructions for assembly as well as use recommendations.
TRANSPORT
RECYCLING
Your bike is designed to last over time (not counting wearing parts, which is normal). If you no longer need your bike, consider reselling it second-hand rather than throwing it
away. You can contact your Decathlon store, which can help you with the process to follow.
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority or retailer for recycling advice.
Collecting and recycling your product and/or its battery separately for disposal helps to conserve natural resources and protect the environment and human health.
When performing bike maintenance, ensure there is
adequate lighting.
All cleaning, electrical or mechanical maintenance
operations must be carried out without power. If
the battery is removable, remove it. Maintenance
operations specific to the bike's electric system
must be performed by trained, qualified staff. If the
chain comes off, shutdown the power before any
intervention.
When transporting your bike outside your vehicle (for example, on a bike rack), remember to protect the electrical components to avoid water
infiltration into the connectors, which could damage your bike.
Lithium batteries are considered hazardous materials and must be transported in accordance with current regulations. In the case of air transport,
contact your airline for information on the procedures to follow.
Air transport of the electric bicycle is not permitted. It is best to hang your bike by the front wheel when transporting and/or storing it in order to
preserve the hydraulic braking system. Remember to activate the brake levers several times before using the bike to ensure proper operation
(remove any air bubbles). Please refer to the bike rack's user guide to check if it can support the weight of your bike.
All cardboard parts should be recycled. Check the marking for recycling your lighting. When changing batteries, remember to
return them to a collection point for recycling. Your bicycle is equipped with electrical components that cannot be disposed of in your
household waste. Contact a Decathlon store for recycling (battery, screen, lighting, etc.).
The frame, forks and all components must be
checked regularly by our Decathlon after-sales
service. Since gear adjustment is tricky, contact
one of our qualified technicians. And always refer
to the manufacturer's recommendations. If the
bike suers a fall, check the electric components.
If cable, button or frame is physically damaged,
go to a DECATHLON workshop for an electric
test.
Do not clean the bike using a high pressure
water jet. Washing with a damp sponge is
recommended. When cleaning the electric bike,
do not immerse the electrical elements such as
the battery, motor, screen, etc. The charging
port must be properly closed. After washing: dry
and oil the transmission components (derailleur,
lever), suspension, brake levers as well as the
chain.
