The following indicates how to connect the LumiPlus Flexi with the cable to ensure watertightness in the connection
area. It is important to proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that there is no electrical voltage present before working with any of the cables.
2. Fit the O-ring.
3. Connect the cable to the spotlight and fasten the two screws.
4. Pass the cable through the gland unit.
5. Fix the gland to the projector body in the marked position. Then fasten the three screws.
6. It is very important to make sure that the gland gasket grips the cable rubber and then tighten the gland with a
spanner (6N.m).
7. Make sure that the cable is securely fastened inside the gland.
8. Once it has been connected, fasten the projector to the pool (see faceplate manual).
9. Do not reseal the faceplate with paste or silicone; water must be able to enter behind the light for correct dissipation.
5. MAINTENANCE:
LumiPlus Flexi does not require maintenance. If you see that it is not working properly, please contact our customer
service department.
ACCESSING THE INTERIOR OF THE LIGHT POINT IS FORBIDDEN AND WILL VOID THE PRODUCT WARRANTY.
6. WIRING:
For correct installation, you need the projector, the transformer and the Remote Control Plug & Play (see diagram on page 69)
For correct operation, LumiPlus Flexi must be powered by a nominal voltage of 12 VAC and the transformer used must
be of the necessary apparent power (VA) (depending on the model), leaving a safety margin. LumiPlus Flexi are supplied
with 2.5 metres of 2x1mm
When replacing or extending the original cable, the cross-section must be calculated specifically for each installation to
ensure that the 12 V reach the LumiPlus Flexi and to avoid voltage drops.
It is very important to make sure that the voltage reaching LumiPlus Flexi does not exceed 12 VAC under any circums-
tances.
7. OPERATION:
The LumiPlus Flexi Plug&Play can only be controlled by the Remote Control Plug&Play (Code: 74399). The two must
be paired in order to work (see the P&P remote control manual)
LumiPlus Flexi must be submerged and fixed to the vertical walls of the pool before it is put into operation. The projector
has thermal protector. Should the protector trip, the projector will flash red. Its continued operation outside of the water
could cause irreparable damage.
8. TROUBLESHOOTING:
Problem
LumiPlus Flexi does not
work or the remote control
does not respond
LumiPlus Flexi flashes red.
LumiPlus Flexi flashes fast
or does not change colour
The remote control is not
responding
H07RN8-F cable. If the length is insufficient, the cable can be replaced (see page 39).
2
Cause
LumiPlus Flexi is not connected to the
mains.
Remote control not paired
The LumiPlus Flexi does not receive the
necessary voltage
It is not submerged. If it is not
submerged, the thermal protection trips.
Not enough voltage is reaching it for it to
work properly, due to a voltage drop in the
power supply.
Not enough power is reaching the
transformer.
The remote control's batteries are flat
Connect LumiPlus Flexi to the mains via a 12
VAC safety transformer
Repeat the pairing process with the two devices
Use a voltmeter to check that the nominal
voltage of 12 V AC is reaching the projector.
Submerge the spotlights or first fill the pool
before connecting them. They only work if
submerged.
Increase the cable cross-section.
Change the transformer for a more powerful one
(it is important to add up the total VA of all the
spotlights connected and allow for a reasonable
safety margin in order to choose a transformer)
Change the batteries
