Do not install the Wallbox underneath suspended
objects.
Do not install the Wallbox in stables, buildings
for livestock or in places where ammonia may
form.
Fit the Wallbox to a smooth surface.
To ensure secure fastening, check the wall con-
dition before installing.
Use fastening material suitable for the wall con-
ditions.
Install the Wallbox as close as possible to the
preferred parking position of the vehicle. Con-
sider the orientation of the vehicle.
Install the Wallbox so that it is not located in the
vicinity of walkways and that the charging cable
does not cross any walkways.
To fulfil the requirements limiting exposure to elec-
tromagnetic radiation (1999/519/EC), install the
charger with a minimum distance of 8 in from all
persons.
To ensure uninterrupted charging operation with the
charger, the installer or electrician must observe the
following instructions and recommendations:
Before installation, check that the necessary
power for charging a vehicle can be continuously
provided with the currently available domestic
installation. If necessary, protect the domestic
installation with an energy management system.
The charger should preferably be operated in
earthed mains supply systems. The protective
conductor lead must be properly installed.
Porsche recommends that you commission a
certified Porsche Service Partner to avoid any
uncertainties when installing the Wallbox at
home.

Line connections and electrical
supply
Power supply line
NOTICE
Observe local power grid operator's regulations.
The Wallbox must have its own power supply line.
For this purpose, the following requirements must be
fulfilled:
e
The separate power supply line must comply
with the general specifications for cable routing,
cable installation and construction technology.
e
The Wallbox must have an external / fault cur-
rent breaker (RCD type A as a minimum). An
integrated DC fault current breaker (6 mA) in
accordance with IEC 62955.
e
The electrical supply line for the Wallbox must
be protected in the installation with a fault cur-
rent breaker (RCD type A).
e
The Wallbox is rated for connection and oper-
ation with a mains voltage of 230 V (single-
phase) or 400 V (3-phase) at 50/60 Hz.
e
Make sure that the rated voltage and current
of the Wallbox meet the specifications for the
local power supply to avoid exceeding the rated
current of the power supply line during charging.
e
The low-voltage system must be installed in
accordance with VDE 0100 or the local regula-
tions.
e
A line safety switch (single-phase or 3-phase)
must be present a required for the wiring and
power of the Wallbox (see the rating plate and
technical data).
