Adjusting the thickness of ground grains.
• To prepare a good espresso (approx. 30 ml), the ground cof-
8
fee should have a certain thickness. The dosing time depends
on the thickness of the ground beans, and thus the grinding
thickness is important for the quality of the prepared bev-
erage.
• The ideal dispensing time is 18-20 seconds.
• If the dispensing time is longer than 20-25 seconds, the cof-
fee should be ground coarser.
• If the dispensing time is less than 18 seconds, the coffee
should be ground finer.
Hot water dispensing
• To pour hot water, turn the water valve (fig. 1/pos. 12, fig. 2/
pos. 10) located above the tap clockwise. Hot water will be
dispensed from the tap. Turn the valve to the left to shut off
the water flow.
Steam dispensing
• To dispense steam, turn the steam valve (fig. 1-2/pos. 3)
above the nozzle clockwise. Steam will then come out of the
nozzle. To stop dispensing steam, turn the steam valve to the
left.
• Before and after using the steam lever to froth milk, open the
steam lever for 1-2 seconds to remove any impurities. Clean
the nozzle with a wet cloth after each use.
• Remember never to put your hands under the steam outlet!
