1 DEVICE CHECK
Functional and air-tight test
The following test must be carried out prior to each use and / or as needed (see "Instructions for use, 7 Safety Instructions,
Prior to use", "Service Manual, 2 Troubleshooting"):
1. Plug the blue coil tubing with the plugs (see a).
2. Connect the device to compressed air supply. Indicator eye changes from white to green (see b).
3. Any pressure value must be adjustable with a precision of ±3 mmHg with the pressure regulator (see c) and this must
be able to be read on the manometer (see e).
4. Set the pressure to 500 mmHg.
5. Briefl y press the blue defl ate button (see d). Pressure drops to 0 mmHg; upon release, the preset value of 500 mmHg
must be reached again (see e).
6. Set the pressure to 0 mmHg and disconnect the device from the compressed air supply.
7. Infl ate to 500 mmHg using the hand infl ator (see f) (can be read on the manometer, see e).
8. Set the timer (see g) to a 5 min countdown. After the 5 min have expired, the pressure drop on the manometer must
not be greater than 30 mmHg. In the case of a greater pressure drop, see "Service Manual, 2 Troubleshooting, Leak
in tourniquet system".
