Can the vertical Fixscreen sun protection fabrics stay downwards in strong winds?
The Fixscreen sun protection fabrics
must be erected at wind speeds of
more than 60 km/h.
Only operate the sun protection
fabric downwards at wind speeds up
to 30 km/h.
Using a windsensor is strongly
recommended!
Does the weather affect my covering?
The coverings are powder coated as standard and provided with a Seaside Quality
pre-treatment. This coating is resistant to any kind of weather.
However, your terrace covering is outside for years, day after day.
If you want to enjoy your Renson covering optimally at all times, we recommend
regular maintenance, so 1 to 2 times a year. As a result, the covering will last longer.

How much snow is allowed to be
on the roof?
Snow doesn't always weigh the same. Snow at
temperatures around freezing point weighs less
than cold dry snow. Theoretically, snow weighs
between 100 and 200 kg/m³.
This actually means that 10 cm snow weighs up
to 20 kg per m². If snow gets wetter, this can
rise up to 500 to 600 kg/m³. This wet snow can
cause problems for the load on the roof. Snow
that has been there for some time also starts to
press together under its own weight and will weigh
more.
The Algarve can handle up to 100 kg load/m²,
even for the largest dimensions. This is possible
due to the patented blade securing system.
(see page 115: Bearing capacity)
Should the covering be
technically inspected?
As a manufacturer, we recom-
mend an annual technical inspec-
tion of your installation by the in-
staller.
