If suspending from a rigging structure, fasten the MAC One Fourbar to a truss or similar
support using two rigging clamps. Do not try to suspend the MAC One Fourbar from only
one rigging clamp. Do not use safety cables as the primary means of support.
Remove as much slack as possible from the safety cable (by looping it more than once
around the chord of a rigging truss, for example). Make sure that, if a primary means of
attachment fails, the MAC One Fourbar cannot fall more than 20 cm (8 inches) maximum
before the safety cable catches it.
If the safety cable attachment point becomes deformed, do not suspend the Fourbar. Have
the accessory repaired by an authorized Martin service partner.
• Check that MAC One Fourbar, rigging hardware and other parts in the installation are
securely fastened and cannot fall, causing injury or damage.
• Ensure that all rigging hardware items (rigging clamps, omega brackets etc.) are in
perfect condition, are approved by a professional body such as TÜV for the weight that
they will support, and that they comply with all locally applicable regulations.
• Block access below and around the work area and work from a stable platform
whenever installing, servicing or moving items in the installation.
• Make sure that you respect the limit that applies to the installation concerned when
installing a line of MAC One fixtures hanging from the MAC One Fourbar.
Introduction
The MAC One Fourbar enables MAC One fixtures to be transported and rigged in sets of four. The MAC
One Fourbar is 1168 mm / 45.9" long and holds fixtures at 300 mm / 11.8" center-to-center spacing. The
MAC One Fourbar with four MAC One fixtures attached fits into the MAC One flightcase, so the entire
MAC One Fourbar can remain assembled during transport.
The MAC One Fourbar features three M12 mounting points (two sliding + one fixed) which can be used
to attach standard rigging clamps. Two feet for floor placement of the MAC One Fourbar are also
included in the package. These feet are attached to the MAC One Fourbar using the two sliding M12
mounting points.
The MAC One Fourbar is fitted with an end-to-end alignment system, which makes it easy to create a
continuous line of fixtures without gaps or misalignment.
Safety cables to secure the MAC One fixtures to the MAC One Fourbar are pre-attached to the MAC
One Fourbar for ease of use. To secure the overall safety cable for the MAC One Fourbar to a
supporting structure such as a truss, it is equipped with a safety cable attachment point that can carry
the weight of the MAC One Fourbar and the four fixtures attached to it.
Daisy-chain cables between the MAC One fixtures can be routed neatly through the guiding system on
the MAC One Fourbar and secured in place using standard cable ties. This results in a simple and
aesthetically pleasing solution which can remain fully cabled during transport (in the flightcase).
