2. Hanging overhead
The MAC One Fourbar can be clamped to a truss or similar rigging structure in any orientation using
two half coupler type rigging clamps (see illustrations below) bolted directly to the body of the MAC One
Fourbar.
To clamp the MAC One Fourbar to a truss directly with half-coupler clamps:
1. Check that the rigging structure can support at least six times (or more if required by local
regulations) the weight of all fixtures and equipment to be installed on it.
2. Block access under the work area.
3. Loosen the two M12 screws [D] securing the feet on the bottom of the MAC One Fourbar and
remove feet.
4. Bolt two half-coupler clamps securely to the body of the MAC One
Fourbar by passing an M12 grade 8.8 steel minimum bolt through
each clamp and fastening the bolts into the threaded holes [D] in the
illustration in the 'Overview' section. Bolts must protrude minimum
24 mm and maximum 40 mm into the body of the MAC One Fourbar
(see illustration on right). The clamps must be in perfect condition
and approved for the weight that they will support. Do not use one
single clamp, or you will damage the MAC One Fourbar body and
create a safety hazard.
5. Fasten the two half-coupler clamps securely to a rigging truss or similar.
6. Secure both MAC One Fourbar and fixtures using safety cables (see sections 'Securing MAC One
Fourbar with a safety cable' and 'Mounting fixtures on MAC One Fourbar).
3. Pole-mounted (floor plate)
The MAC One Fourbar can be clamped to a pole or similar rigging structure in any orientation using two
half coupler type rigging clamps (see illustration above) bolted
directly to the body of the MAC One Fourbar.
In these instances, you should be aware of circumstantial
factors like balance, stability, wind force etc.
When using the MAC One Fourbar clamped to a pole on a
tripod stand or a floor plate:
1. Block access around the work area.
2. Refer to instructions from previous paragraph 'Hanging
overhead'.
