Assembly
After washing and drying the parts, fit the components to the machine in the following order:
1. Fit the balls to the squeezing tray [Fig.14]. Depending on the model:
a) Z40 ONE: the balls are clipped onto the squeezing tray. Make sure that the clip
is properly attached to the squeezing tray.
b) Z40 / Z40 MULTIFRUIT: the balls are screwed onto the squeezing tray. Fully
screw them on and align the slot horizontally (depending on model or fruit to be
squeezed, a washer can be fitted under each ball).
2. Fit the squeezing block all together consisting of the squeezing tray with the balls, blade
and cups on their respective axles in one piece [Fig. 13].
3. Fit the axles of the automatic filter in the filter scraper and then assemble them in the
filter [Fig. 11].
a. When squeezing pomegranates, fit the pulp chute wedges, which should be
inside of the scraper and clipped to the vertical wall of the filter.
4. Fit the complete automatic filter to the ADAPT tray or the SERVICE tank [Fig. 10].
5. Fit the ADAPT tray or SERVICE tank to the squeezing tray guides.
6. Screw the nuts onto the cup axles and the ADAPT tray until they are properly tight [Fig.
08].
7. Turn one of the side handles on the squeezing tray to place it in the vertical position
[Fig. 04] and fit the side cover [Fig. 05]. Then turn the handle again to its horizontal
position to secure the assembly.
8. Remove the blade protector [Fig. 07].
9. Fit the front cover [Fig. 06],
10. Repeat step 7 on the other side to fit the other side cover.
11. Fit the chutes or bins [Fig. 03].
Note:
Before operating the juicer, check the following items:
-
The cups and balls are the same colour and are from the same squeezing kit.
-
All the nuts are properly screwed on and tightened.
-
The squeezing tray handles are in the horizontal position and properly secure the side
covers in place.
-
The balls are properly clipped into the squeezing tray and the ball slots are properly aligned
with the blade grooves.
-
The ADAPT tray is properly fitted to the squeezing tray guides and secured by the right
nuts.
If the steps described above are not observed when assembling the blade, tray, balls, cups,
side covers and/or front cover, and these components are not properly fitted, this could cause
damage to the parts and/or the inside of the machine. Damage and other problems caused
by incorrect assembly by users are not covered under the guarantee.
Disassembly and cleaning of the feeder - Z40 / Z40 MULTIFRUIT
1. Unlock the safety catch and remove the outer hopper by turning it slightly anticlockwise
[Fig. 15-16].
2. Unscrew the separator nut [Fig. 17].
3. Pull the separator out vertically [Fig. 18].
4. Remove the inner hopper from its vertical axle together with the lower separator [Fig. 19].
5. Clean all the components with soap and water. They may also be cleaned in the
dishwasher.
6. Clean the entire hopper ceiling/track with a damp cloth with neutral soap and water [Fig 20].
To assemble the feeder and hopper components, repeat the above process in reverse order.
