OPERATING MANUAL
2 The machine must be used exclusively by authorized and trained personnel;
3 When using the machine, the operator must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
4 Read the labels on the machine with attention. Never cover them for any reason and always immediately replace them if
they are damaged;
5 Before using the machine check all the controls, the indicators and any instruments in order to employ it properly;
6 Before you use the machine make sure that all doors and covers are positioned as shown in this operating and maintenance
manual;
7 Make sure the surface you clean can afford the machine weight;
8 When operating the machine be careful of other persons and of children in particular;
9 Machine storage temperature must be between -25°C and +55°C;
10 Operating conditions: room temperature between 0'C and 40"C with relative humidity between 30 and 95%;
11 The ST gasoline version can not be used in closed environments, because the exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide,
odorless but lethal gas;
12 The fuel supply on the ST gasoline version has to be made with the machine completely switched off;
13 Do not place any liquid containers on the machine;
14 The machine can not draw or be drawn in any way, nor in private places, much less in streets or public places;
15 Never use the machine to transport goods;
16 Never use acid solutions which could damage the machine and/or persons;
17 Avoid running the brushes with the machine stopped: this could damage the floor;
18 Never aspirate flammable, deflagrate, explosive, corrosive, toxic liquids or powders;
19 Never use the machine in an explosive environment;
20 Use a powder fire extinguisher in case of fire. Do not use water;
21 Do not use the machine while raining. Do not store the machine under rain;
22 It is forbidden to open hoods, caps and brushes compartments while the machine is working;
23 Do not hit against shelving or scaffolding;
24 Suit operating speed to traction conditions;
25 Do not use the appliance on surfaces with a slope higher than the one indicated on the name-plate;
26 Start, turn and stop carefully. Slow down before bends, slippery and irregular surfaces. Avoid climbing objects and holes. Be
careful when reversing in slop;
27 Whenever the machine has operating troubles, check to make sure these are not due to insufficient ordinary maintenance. If
this is not the case then enquire with your nearest TSM SRL service center;
28 When replacing machine parts always ask for ORIGINAL spare parts from your Authorized TSM SRL Agent and/or Retailer;
29 Use only original TSM SRL brushes;
30 In case of danger engage the emergency switch on the left side of the consolle;
31 All maintenance operations have be carried out with the machine completely switched off;
32 Restore all electrical connections after terminating any maintenance procedures;
33 Never remove guards that require tools for removal;
34 Never wash the machine with direct or pressurized jets of water or with corrosive substances;
35 Have your nearest TSM SRL service center check the machine every 200 operating hours;
36 Parking. Turn the key off to position "OFF". Apply the hand brake. Block the wheel with wedges if the machine is on a slope.
Remove the battery when you do not use the machine for a long time. Remove the key;
37 Check the connector wear and tear; if the connector is damaged, replace it before using the machine; the replacement must
be done by authorized personal only;
38 Dispose of consumables in accordance with currently applicable laws and codes;
39 In the case of demolition, it is important to divide all the materials and give them to qualified and authorized operators, in
accordance with currently applicable laws and codes;
40 Batteries contain hazardous and dangerous materials that must be disposed in accordance to currently laws concerning
hazardous and noxious substances and given to qualified operators;
41 Do not leave the working machine unmanned. Make sure that children or not qualified staff do not use it;
42 The machine is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical, sensoric or mental capacities or lack
of experience and/or skills, unless such people are accompanied and supervised by a person in charge of their safety or if
they received precise instructions on the use of the machine.
43 Do not use the machine in dangerous areas;
44 Do not use too loose garments or accessories that may get entangled in the moving parts;
45 During the floor cleaning the operator has to be in the right working position. Only one operator at a time can use the
machine;
46 The machine is equipped with a fire extinguisher, located on the left side of the machine. Do not remove it from the machine
and check the expiring dates of the same, making the appropriate maintenance;
47 Apart from the safety instructions included in the present manual, respect and observe the general safety rules for the sector
and the currently regulations concerning the environment protection;
48 If the operator do not have the necessary skills to use the machine or he is in a psychophysical condition altered by chemical
substances (ex. alcol, drugs, medicines) must be suitably stopped;
49 Do not use fuel, diluents or similar substances to clean the equipment;
50 Keep clean the adhesive labels of security and warning and if necessary replace them;
51 The machine or its accessories must not be used for the transport of people, except the operator on its trolley.
