TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component,
check the points below. Sometimes
the trouble may lie in another component.
Investigate the other components
and electrical
appliances being used.
If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or
your dealer to carry out repair work.
Symptom

No power supplied to unit.
e Power plug is disconnected from outlet.
@ The component power plug has been plugged
into another component power outlet (e.g.
timer, etc.) but power to that unit is
disconnected.
e@ POWER switch is set to STANDBY.
elnsert plug securely into outlet.
e@ Turn on power to the other component.
ePress the POWER switch to ON so that the
STANDBY indicator goes off.
No sound.
eConnecting cords are disconnected from
terminals, or connected incorrectly.
e Terminals, or connecting cords pin plugs are
dirty.
eThe input selector switch is not set to the
desired input source.
e Operation of other components is incorrect.
e Connect securely.
Clean terminals and plugs.
eSet switch correctly (PHONO, TUNER, CD,
LINE, TAPE 1/DAT, TAPE 2/CDR).
eConsult the operating instructions for the
other components.
No sound from one speaker.
eConnecting
cords
or speaker

disconnected on that side.
e Connect securely.
Cannot record tapes.
