6.3 Filter Replacement

The service life of the filter elements depends on the type and quantity of the
separated particles. To optimize the useful life of the main filter and its protection
against flying sparks, an in-line separator is installed before the filter. It is
recommended to check the in-line separator depending on the volume of work and
empty it on a daily or weekly basis.
CAUTION
There is a risk of severe damage to the respiratory organs and
respiratory system - use protection of respiratory system, such as
KEMPER autoflow XP or a respiratory mask with FFP2 class filter
according to EN 149 standard.
Skin contact with welding smoke, etc. can result in irritation in
sensitive individuals - wear protective clothing.
Open the upper clamps (fig. 1, pos. 7) and dismantle the device cover (fig. 1,
pos. 1).
Subsequently open both lower clamps and dismantle the separator box (Fig.
1, pos. 2). Make sure to raise as little dust as possible. The main filter must
remain on the filtration unit.
Now expertly empty the in-line separator according to the official regulations.
Request the relevant waste codes for these purposes from your local waste
processor.
The first two steps should be reversed.
