6.10 Linear grinding unit (additional equipment)

The linear grinding unit can be used to sharpen straight knives.
Sharpening straight knifes merely requires that you remove the adjusting plate from the grinding table
and mount it on the angle table of the linear grinding unit.
6.10.1 Attaching the linear grinding unit

Tightening torque for M6 => 10Nm.
Tightening torque for M8 => 25Nm.
6.10.2 Adjusting the linear grinding unit
Make the adjustments as described on pages 19, item 6.3 "Preparations" to 21, item 6.7 "Adjusting the
rotation limiter" .

Switch the machine off using the
OFF switch (red button "0").
IMPORTANT!
When sharpening straight knives, make sure the surface to be ground is
horizontal. This means that the cup grinding wheel must be aligned horizontally
as well!
Also make sure that the curved knife is securely clamped into the horizontal clamping device
Align the linear grinding unit according to the grinding angle. Both angle straps have four recesses
each.
The topmost recess is equal to 0 degrees (horizontal) on the angle table. The other recesses are
positioned in 15 degree increments.

the emergency stop switch
closed until it locks into
place.
Pull the power plug.
