The front fender is mounted directly to the back of the fork crown (Fig. 11.13).
The front fender stays are mounted by inserting the stays into the dropout holes and secured using set screws
(Fig. 11.14).
When mounting the fenders, the intended result is to have equal spacing (more than 6mm) between the tire and
fender along the entire circumference of the fender.
For additional information about installing Plug N Play fenders, please refer to the fender user manual.
Check with your Authorized Specialized Retailer for advice on compatible fenders for your bicycle.
While certain VADO SL models are not equipped with a rear rack from the factory, a rear rack can be mounted to all
VADO SL models, using the three frame mounting points.

The rear rack is mounted directly to the frame using the lateral dropout holes for the vertical rack stays (Fig. 11.15)
and the seatstay bridge insert for the adjustable upper stay (Fig. 11.16).
Check with your Authorized Specialized Retailer for advice on compatible racks for your bicycle.
When loading your rack, do not exceed the cargo weight limits stated in the Owner's Manual Appendix A
(RIDER/BIKE WEIGHT LIMITS AND TERRAIN CONDITIONS).
