CEBORA S.p.A.
You can set the required gas flow rate by the pressure regulator on the gas cylinder.
From Control Panel, in the "Second Functions" menù, it is possible to select which solenoid valve to use,
choosing between that inner to the Power Source (Int) or that inner to the Wire Feeder Unit (Fdu).
With the solenoid valve inner to the Wire Feeder Unit (Fdu) selected, it is possible to verify the gas flow
from Control Panel through the "Gas Sensor" optional kit.
The "Gas Test" signal can also be used for an additional gas pre-flow during positioning.
NOTE: As long as the welding process is active, the gas pre-flow and post-flow times are controlled by
the Power Source. For this reason, it is not necessary to initialise the "Gas Test" signal during the
welding process.
5.8
Wire Inching (wire feed).
Wire Inching (wire feed):
Reference potential:
WARNING !
The "Wire Inching" signal causes the Wire Feeder to start up and corresponds to the "Wire Inch" button
on the Control Panel or on the Wire Feeder.
GB
The "Wire Inching" signal allows the wire to be fed into the torch hose pack with no flow of gas or
current.
The inching-in speed starts from 1 m/min., remains constant for 5.0 s., then increases up to 4.0 m/min. in
2.5 s. approximately.
NOTE: If the digital input signal "Arc On" is active and if the parameter "Aut", from Control Panel is set
"OFF", then the analogue input signal "Wire Speed" is actuated. The digital input signal "Wire
Inching" starts immediately with the analogue command value of the wire speed.
If the digital input signal "Arc On" is active and if the parameter "Aut", from Control Panel, is set
"On", then the the digital input signal "Wire Inching" is ignored. The wire starts only when the
"Main Current" digital output signal is active.
5.9
Wire Retract.
Wire Retract:
Reference potential:
The "Wire Retract" signal causes the wire to be retracted (pulled back).
This can be used for pulling the welding wire back out of the torch, or retracting it by a certain distance.
The wire retraction speed is fixed to 1.0 m/min..
NOTE: Only retract the wire by very short lengths, as the wire is not wound back onto the spool.
NOTE: If the digital input signal "Arc On" is active and if the parameter "Aut", from Control Panel is set
"OFF", then the analogue input signal "Wire Speed" is actuated. The digital input signal "Wire
Retract" starts immediately with the wire speed value (1 m/min, fixed).
If the digital input signal "Arc On" is active and if the parameter "Aut", from Control Panel, is set
"On", then the the digital input signal "Wire Retract" is ignored. The wire retracts, for the lengths
set by "rEt" parameter, only when the "Main Current" digital output signal ends.
