5.2.
Packaging Disposal
After the pacjkaging is opened, it is recommended that the packaging materials are separated ac-
cording to type and disposed of in accordance with the regulations in force in the country of use.
We recommend keeping the container for future transfers or transportation.
5.3.
Water Network Connection
Warning: Connect the machine to a water network that dispenses only
clear and fresh drinking water. Check in the technical data sheet if the
network pressure is suitable.
The distance between the supply for the electrical connection and the water connec-
tion should respect the regulations in force at the time of installation.
The water of the water network must be softened by using an appropriate
water softener placed right before the machine connection pipe. A failed
or inadequate water softening will not be covered by warranty. To fulfi l
these procedures, turn to a specialised technician.
Before connection, accurately clean the water network pipes; fully open
the network water knob and let it fl ow for a few minutes.
(Fig.20) - Screw the supply pipe to a cold water softener tap compatible with the tube installed
in the machine.
5.4.
Drain Tube Connection
Warning: Connect the machine to a suitable drain, in compliance with
federal, state and local laws.
The machine requires to be connected to a drain tube to constantly dispose of waste liquids gen-
erated during the machine normal operation.
To connect to the drain, use the supplied tube (Fig.10). This shall be connected to the fi tting in
the lower section of the machine (Fig.06).
(Fig.21) - Screw the drain tube to the fi tting. Close the ring nut tightly and make sure the gasket
is properly sealed.
Then, connect the tube to the drain making sure it is duly insulated and tight.
5.5.
Electrical Connection
Connection procedures shall be carried out by qualifi ed personnel in com-
pliance with federal, state and local laws.
The electrical connection of the Machine is done by and under the responsibility of the Cus-
tomer.
Warning: The electric socket in which the machine is connected to must be
easily accessible by the user, in order to allow it to be easily disconnected
from the mains when necessary.
Before connecting the machine, make sure that the power button is set to "0".
(Fig.09) - The machine is equipped with a special cable to connect to the electrical network. The
cable is equipped with a special plug for the machine electrical connection.
If the power cord is damaged, contact only the manufacturer or a specialised technician for its
replacement.
The Machine should be connected to the mains using the plug installed on the power cord, in
accordance with:
• The Laws and Regulations in force at the place and time of installation;
• The information shown on the technical specifi cations plate under the drip tray (Fig.14).

Lugs must be connected to the main circuit. The earthing system and the protection against at-
mospherical discharges must strictly respect the regulations in force.
(Fig.19) - Check the required connection.
TR - For the three-phase power supply, use a 5-conductor (3 phases + neutral + earthing)
plug.
MO - For the mono-phase power supply, use a 3-conductor (phase + neutral + earthing)
plug.
To electrically connect the machine, proceed as follows:
(Fig.12) - Remove the grill.
(Fig.13) - Remove the liquid drip tray.
(Fig.14) - Unscrew the two screws holding the protective cover.
(Fig.15) - Lift the protective cover and remove it.
(Fig.16-17) - Insert the special plug from the bottom of the machine through the arranged slot.
Insert the plug into the connector and make sure the appropriate seats are respected.
Reposition the protections, water collection basin and grill.
It is forbidden to:
• Use any type of extension;
• Replace the original plug;
• Use adapters.
5.6.
First Machine Start-Up
This procedure is especially important as it allows to start up and use the machine properly.
Warning: Before starting any procedure, make sure the user thoroughly
knows the machine's controls; for further details, please refer to the fol-
lowing sections.
Thoroughly clean all water hoses of the machine:
• Open wide the supply knob of the water network.
• Operate the power button (on 1) and wait for the boiler to fi ll up to the set level.
After a possible pump error due to the pump time-out (safety), in case of
automatic dosing machines, the pump motor will stop and the controls will
fl ash; in a lever machine, only the pump motor will stop; therefore, the
power button shall be turned on again to allow the boiler to fi ll up completely.
• Operate the power button (on 2) to heat the water in the boiler.
• Operate all groups to make sure the water is running for approximately one minute, then
repeat the operation twice.
• Open and close the steam knobs to let the water circuit exhaust and avoid air bubbles within
it.
Wait for the machine to be pressurised (approx. 40 minutes):
• Dispense steam from the relevant spouts for approx. one minute.
• Dispense water from the relevant water spout for at least one minute; repeat twice or more.
• Turn off the switches.
When the machine has not been operating for more than 24 hours, wash
the internal parts before use, repeating the steps described above.
