5.4 Schneller Vor- und Rücklauf
Soll während des Abspielens einer CD der Titel
schnell vor- oder zurückgefahren werden, den
SCAN-Knopf (10) nach rechts bzw. links drehen. Je
weiter der SCAN-Knopf gedreht wird, desto schnel-
ler ist der Vor- bzw. Rücklauf. Der Vor- bzw. Rücklauf
fährt auch über mehrere Titel, jedoch beim Abspielen
einer programmierten Titelfolge immer nur bis zum
Ende bzw. Anfang eines Titels.
Bei eingeschalteter Pause kann der Vor- und
Rücklauf ebenfalls benutzt werden, um eine
bestimmte Stelle anzufahren. Nach beendetem
Schnellauf wird die momentane Stelle so lange wie-
derholt, bis die Taste
(15) gedrückt wird.
5.5 Genaues Anfahren einer Stelle
Zum exakten Anfahren einer gewünschten Stelle bei
eingeschalteter Pause den SEARCH-Knopf (11) dre-
hen. Auf der CD wird so lange und so schnell vor-
oder zurückgefahren, wie der SEARCH-Knopf ge-
dreht wird. Dabei kann auf dem Display in der Zeit-
anzeige die genaue Position abgelesen und in
Schritten von 1 „Frame" (F) angefahren werden
(1 Frame =

Sekunde). Nach dem Drehen wird die

momentane Stelle so lange wiederholt, bis die Taste
(15) gedrückt wird.
Bei laufender CD können durch Vor- und Zurück-
drehen des SEARCH-Knopfs (11) „Scratch"-Effekte
erzeugt werden.
5.6 Automatischer Rücksprung auf eine
gewünschte Stelle
1) Die Stelle anfahren, zu der automatisch zurück-
gesprungen werden soll, und mit der Taste
(15) auf Pause schalten.
5.3 Short monitoring of a title
1) After inserting a CD wait for such a long time until
the first title is displayed. If necessary, jump with
the buttons SKIP (17) and the button +10 (4) to
the desired title.
2) Keep the button CUE 1 (14) or CUE 2 (16)
depressed. The title is played as long as the but-
ton is depressed.
3) After releasing the button CUE, the CD player
goes back to the beginning of the title. To start the
title, push the button
(15).
5.4 Quick advance and reverse run
If the title is to be advanced or reversed quickly while
playing a CD, turn the SCAN knob (10) to the right
resp. left. The further the SCAN knob is turned, the
quicker the advance resp. reverse run is. The ad-
vance resp. reverse run also goes beyond several ti-
tles, but while playing a programmed title sequence it
only goes until the end resp. the beginning of a title.
In the pause mode, the advance resp. reverse run
can also be used for exact positioning of a certain
spot. After the end of the advance resp. reverse run,
the actual spot is repeated for such a long time until
the button
(15) is pushed.
5.5 Positioning of a certain spot
For exact positioning of a certain spot in the pause
mode, turn the SEARCH knob (11). The CD is
advanced and reversed as long and as quickly as
the SEARCH knob is turned. The exact position is
shown in the time display and can be positioned in
steps of 1 "frame" (F) (1 frame =
turning, the actual spot is repeated for such a long
time until the button
(15) is pushed.
With a playing CD "Scratch effects" may be pro-
duced by turning the SEARCH knob (11) forward and
backward.
2) Bei Bedarf kann mit dem SEARCH-Knopf (11) die
Stelle exakter angefahren werden.
3) Die Taste CUE 1 (14) antippen. Dadurch wird
intern die Stelle markiert. Die gelbe LED über der
Taste leuchtet auf.
4) Das Abspielen mit der Taste
ten. Vorsicht: Jetzt nicht die SKIP-Tasten (17)
oder die Taste +10 (4) drücken. Sie löschen die
markierte Stelle.
5) Mit der Taste CUE 1 (14) kann nun auf die mar-
kierte Stelle zurückgesprungen werden. Das
Laufwerk steht dann auf Pause.
6) Mit der Taste
oder die Taste CUE 1 (14) erneut drücken und
gedrückt halten. Nach dem Loslassen der Taste
CUE 1 steht das Laufwerk wieder an der markier-
ten Stelle auf Pause. Durch erneutes Gedrückt-
halten der Taste CUE 1 kann so ab der markierten
Stelle beliebig oft eine Wiederholung erfolgen.
7) Mit der Taste CUE 2 (16) kann unabhängig von
der ersten markierten Stelle eine zweite Stelle
markiert werden. Das erfolgt genau so, wie für die
erste Markierung in den Punkten 1-6 beschrie-
ben, nur muß jeweils die Taste CUE 2 betätigt
werden.
Vorsicht: Der Rücksprung auf die erste oder
zweite Markierung darf nur während der norma-
len Wiedergabe (mit der Taste
erfolgen. Sobald das Gerät auf Pause steht, wird
mit der Taste CUE 1 oder CUE 2 die momentane
Position markiert, und die vorherige Markierung
ist gelöscht.
5.7 Bestimmten Abschnitt wiederholen
1) Den Startpunkt der Wiederholung anfahren
(Punkt A in Abb. 5). Mit der Taste
Pause schalten.
2) Bei Bedarf kann mit dem SEARCH-Knopf (11) die
Stelle exakter angefahren werden.
3) Die Taste CUE 1 (14) antippen (nicht Taste
CUE 2!). Die gelbe LED über der Taste leuchtet auf.

spot.
5) With the CUE 1 button (14) the CD player can
now jump back to the marked spot. Then the play-
ing mechanism is in the pause mode.
6) Start the replay with the button
button CUE 1 (14) again and keep it depressed.
After releasing the button CUE 1, the playing
mechanism is at the marked spot again in the
pause mode. If the button CUE 1 is kept depressed
again, from the marked spot on as many repeats
can be made as desired.
7) With the button CUE 2 (16), independent of the
first marked spot, a second spot can be marked.
This is made the same way as described for the
first marking, see items 1-6, however, the button
CUE 2 must be depressed instead.
Attention: Skipping back to the first or second
marking must only be made with normal replay
(started with the button

5.8 Geschwindigkeit und Tonhöhe verändern
Mit dem CD-400DJ läßt sich die Geschwindigkeit
und damit gleichzeitig die Tonhöhe im Bereich von
±16 % ändern. Die Änderung kann über eine pro-
zentuale Veränderung erfolgen oder komfortabel
über die Anzahl der Taktschläge pro Minute, um
damit eine genaue Übereinstimmung der Takt-
schläge beim Wechsel der Wiedergabe von einem
zum anderen Laufwerk zu erhalten.
Außerdem lassen sich die Taktschläge pro Minute
beim Betrieb von bis zu zwei Plattenspielern über
den CD-400DJ messen und anzeigen, wenn diese
mit einem speziellen Ausgang für die Taktanzeige
ausgestattet sind (z. B. „img Stage Line" DJP-200 ab
Serien-Nr. J09).
5.8.1 Prozentuale Änderung
1) Die Taste PITCH (8) drücken. Die LED über der
Taste PITCH leuchtet, und das Display zeigt für
einige Sekunden die prozentuale Abweichung
von der Standardgeschwindigkeit an.
2) Die Geschwindigkeit läßt sich nun mit dem Schie-
beregler PITCH (18) verändern.
3) Mit der Taste PITCH (8) kann zwischen der mit
dem Schieberegler (18) eingestellten Geschwin-
digkeit und der Standardgeschwindigkeit hin- und
hergeschaltet werden.

5.8 Changing of speed and pitch
With the CD-400DJ the speed and by this also the
pitch can be changed by ±16 %. This can be made
by the ±16 % change or comfortably via the number
of beat sequences per minute for exact matching of
the beat sequences while changing the replay from
one to the other player mechanism.
In addition, with the operation of up to two turnta-
bles, the beat sequences per minute can be meas-
ured and displayed via the CD-400DJ, if the turnta-
bles are equipped with a special output for the beat
indication (e. g. "img Stage Line" DJP-200 from
series no. J09 on).
5.8.1 Change by ±16%
1) Push the button PITCH (8). The LED above the
button PITCH lights up, and the display shows the
deviation in percent from the standard speed for
some seconds.
2) The speed can now be changed with the sliding
control PITCH (18).
3) With the button PITCH (8) it can be switched from
the speed adjusted with the sliding control (18) to
the standard speed and back again.
