Preparation

Safety information for preparation

WARNING
Connect the medical device to a medically
approved mains power socket only.
Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
WARNING
Only connect the compressor to ventilators
equipped with an alarm function indicating
insufficient supply pressure.
CAUTION
Do not connect more than one ventilator to the
compressor!
This could overload the compressor.

Connecting the compressor

This compressor is not equipped with additional
internal packing. Opening the compressor housing
and removing the internal packing prior to initial
startup is not necessary.

1 Check that the operating voltage specified on
the rating plate (A) on the rear matches the
mains voltage.
2 Plug the connector (B) into a grounded socket;
do not use an adapter.
3 Screw the Air compressed gas hose (C) to the
ventilator.
4 Firmly insert the connector of the Air
compressed gas hose (D) into the coupling of
the compressor until it engages.
Depending on the device type, the compressor may
be equipped with an optional standby mode for the
compressed air supply to the ventilator in case of
failure of the central gas supply system.
For devices with standby mode (optional)
5 Screw the Air compressed gas hose (E) to the
compressor.
6 Plug the connector (F) into the wall terminal unit
of the central gas supply system (Air).
