VIP™ 5162 Signal Processor User Manual Rev. 1
The customize mode sub-tab is for configuring and operating picture-in-picture (PIP) mode. PIP
mode is when there are two images on the live output screen, typically a larger image (main image)
in the background and a smaller image (sub-image) in front of, and within, the larger image.
PIP mode can be selected by working in this tab, or by using Config Tab -> Mode Config -> PIP.
See
Mode Config Tabs And Options
The customize subtab interface selects and configures the input sources, sizes and locations for the
sub-image and the main image. The interface also controls the transitions between different input
sources for the sub- and main images.
Below is the functionality available with the customize sub-tab:
· Every input source can be configured with a different size and location for the sub-image.
· Every input source can be configured with a different size and location for the main image.
· Any input can be displayed as both the sub-image and the main image simultaneously.
· The sub-image can be changed live using the selected transition effect.
· The main image can be changed live using the selected transition effect.
· The sub-image and main image interface buttons cause an immediate change in the live
output.
· In Normal mode the sub-image and main image options for inputs 1 and 2, on the
Customize Mode tab, should be the same as the Trigger button settings in Config Tab ->
