15.5 Replacement of pump shutter

1) To reach the pump, follow the procedure explained from points
3 to 9 under "Replacement of pump oil".
2) Locate the pump intake block on which the clear tube is fastened
with a metal coil A , which connects the pump to the vacuum
chamber.
3) Using an Allen wrench, unscrew the two screws securing the
block. Lift the intake block (Fig. 1).
4) Remove first the rubber shutter, then the steel one. Check the
condition of the entire accessible intake section, and if necessary
clean it with a cloth soaked in alcohol (Fig. 2).
5) Insert the new rubber and steel shutters (Fig. 3).
6) Re-insert the intake block and tighten the two fastening screws (Fig. 1).
7) Close the appliance again following the procedure explained from points 11 to
12 under "Replacement of pump oil".
