fore starting work (see Chapter "Settings").
- To prevent possible kickback use the router stop
or the curved guard.
- To prevent hazardous situations due to uncon-
trolled lift up of the workpiece support workpiec-
es longer than 650 mm securely at the removal
end and at the same height as the CMS-GE. Use
the extension table (VL) as a reference.
- Use a workpiece holder when machining narrow
workpieces.
- Remember to guide the machine against the
rotation direction of the router bit.
- Do not use the tool without guards in position, in
good working order and properly maintained.
- Select the correct speed corresponding to the
tooling and material being used. Consult the
operation instruction of your router for detailed
speed information.
- Never process workpieces that are too large or
heavy for one person to hold and guide safely.
- Check before each use whether the tool is un-
damaged. Do not use tools when parts are dam-
aged. Do not operate a router when damaged
and avoid overloading the motor.
- Check the plugs and cables regularly and have
them replaced by an expert if damaged.
- Before using the router, make sure that it is fi t-
ted correctly in module mounting CMS-OF and
check whether the module mounting in basic
unit CMS-GE is secure.
- Always work with tools approved for manual
guiding.
Other risks
In spite of compliance with all relevant design
regulations, dangers may still present themselves
when the machine is operated, e.g.:
- workpiece parts being thrown off;
- parts of damaged tools being thrown off;
- noise emissions and
- dust emissions.

WARNING
Risk of accident, electric shock
• Always pull the plug out of the socket before
performing any type of work on the machi-
ne.
6.1
Installing the router
Place the module mounting in the recess on the
basic unit CMS-GE [2].
• Insert the crank handle [2-1] in the hexagon
socket [2-2] on the height adjuster.
When not in use, the crank handle can be stored
in one of the openings [2-3] on the legs of the
basic unit CMS-GE.
The following section describes the process for
installing router OF 1010, OF 1400 and OF 2200
in the module mounting. Removal is performed
in reverse sequence to installation.
OF 1010
• Attach the guide plate [3-3] securely to the slide
on the height adjuster [3-2].
• Insert the dark grey centring ring 473810 for the
OF 1010 with the part number faceup into the
recess on the module mounting and secure the
tenon into the slot.
Remove the plastic ring [6-1] before installing the
router OF 1010 in the module mounting.
You can remove or fi t the extraction hood [6-2]
to the module mounting, depending on the cut-
ter diameter.
Lock the router in the lowest position:
• To do this, unscrew the rotary knob [7-3] for
adjusting the router cutting depth and push the
router downwards.
• Tighten the rotary knob.
• Attach the adjustment plate [4-1] to the threaded
hole [4-2] with the narrow journal (width: 4 mm)
facing downwards.
Place the router on the module mounting [7]:
Make sure that the centring ring is seated cor-
rectly in the opening on the module mounting
and the router.
• Align the router so that the journal [7-2] on the
column guide is facing towards the cutting depth
adjuster and the adjustment plate [7-5] engages
in the hole [5-2].
• Clamp the router by securing the three clamping
supports [7-4] in the three holes [5-4].
• Unscrew the rotary knob [7-3] and move the
router upwards.
• Tighten the rotary knob [7-3].
• Use the crank handle [7-1] to set the height
adjuster so that the guide plate supports the
journal [7-2].
OF 1400
• Attach the guide plate [3-3] securely to the slide
on the height adjuster [3-2].
• Insert the light grey centring ring 473809 for the
