2.3 Markings and Signs to be affixed by the End-user
The user is required to affix additional markings and plates to the filter unit and in its
immediate vicinity.
Such markings and signs might be related, for example, to the requirement to wear
personal protective equipment.
2.4 Safety Instructions for Operators
The filter may only be used in technically perfect condition and for its intended
purpose, with the operator aware of safety and risks, while observing these operating
instructions! All errors, especially those that may affect safety, must be removed
immediately!
Each person, who is charged with the commissioning, operation or maintenance of
the system, must have fully read and understood this operating manual - in particular
Chapter 2 Safety. Once they are working on the machine, it is too late. This is
particularly applicable for staff who are used on the filter unit only from time to time.
The operating instructions must be ready to hand near the filter unit at all times.
We accept no liability for any damages or injuries caused by failure to observe these
operating instructions.
The relevant accident prevention regulations and other generally recognized safety
and health rules and regulations are to be complied with.
It is important to lay down and adhere to the responsibility for the different activities in
matters of servicing and maintenance. Only then will human error – especially in
dangerous situations – be avoided.
The end-user is to enforce wearing of personal protective equipment by operating
and maintenance staff. These include in particular safety shoes, safety glasses and
gloves.
Do not wear loose, long hair, loose clothing or jewellery! In theory, there is a risk of
getting caught on something, or even being pulled in or torn at moving parts!
If safety-related changes to the filter unit are to be made, shut it down and secure it
immediately, and report the process to the authorized agency/individual!
Only responsible and trained staff may carry out work on the filter unit. Observe the
minimum legal age!
Staff who are to be trained, taught, instructed or are on a general training course may
only work on the filter unit under constant supervision by an experienced person!
