3.4 Residual risk
Even if all the safety rules are obeyed, a residual risk remains while operating the
filter unit, as described below. All those who work on and with the filter unit must be
aware of this residual risk and follow the instructions that prevent these residual risks
leading to accidents or injuries.
While setting up and during fitting tasks, it may be necessary to remove equipment.
This causes various residual risks and potential dangers of which the operator must
be aware:
DANGER
Risk of fatal electric shock!
Pull out the mains electricity plug before any repairs, setting up
and servicing on the filter unit.
Secure the filter unit against being switched on accidentally!
Affix warning notices.
WARNING
− Severe health damage to the lungs and respiratory tract
possible - wear respiratory protection, e.g. KEMPER
autoflowXP or a class FFP2 respiratory protection filter mask to
EN 149.
− Skin contact with dust etc. can lead to skin irritations in
sensitive individuals – wear protective clothing.
− Leaks at the filter component and connecting leads can cause
dust to enter the environment. Rectify leaks immediately and
clean the contaminated areas, wearing respiratory protection
and protective clothing.
− Expanding compressed air must be depressurized first before
any repairs, setting up and servicing on the pneumatic system!
