An adult steps or stands onto the scales.
> The display could show »67.6 kg« for example
Press the ON/TARA/OFF button.
> The display changes to »0.0 kg«
The adult steps off the scales ...
> Display »–67.6 kg«
...then steps or stands on the scales again holding the child.
> The display now indicates the child's weight, for example »5.1 kg«

Zero setting

Press the ON/TARA/OFF button to correct any minor deviations from
the zero point, which may be caused by dirt on the scales.
Zero button: -1 to +3% of the weighing range.
Turning off / Safely end use
Press the ON/TARA/OFF button to switch off the scales.
If the scales are empty and the display indicates 0 weight, the scales
can be switched off immediately.
If the scales are loaded, press and hold the ON/TARA/OFF button for 5
seconds.
The equipment switches off when the button is pressed. When the mains plug is removed
from the power socket, the equipment is disconnected from all poles of the mains power
supply. This ensures that the equipment is powered down.
Note:
If the display remains at »0.0 kg«, the scales will switch off automatically after a pre-set
time. In this case, the display can be activated again by pressing the ON/TARA/OFF button.

Turning on
Remove any weights from the scales and press the ON/OFF button.
After the test routine is completed, the calibration counter appears
briefly and then the display switches to zero.
