Warning: This equipment must not be modified without the manufacturer's permission. If
medical equipment is modified, suitable tests and inspections must be performed to ensure
that it can still be used safely.
Arm rests and foot rests are not aids for standing.
They may only be used as resting surfaces for arms and feet.
The maximum load is 50 kg.
The product is not to be used as a transport aid for persons or items.

4.5 Cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the equipment from the power supply by pulling out the mains
plug. The equipment should be cleaned only with a moistened cloth. In no circumstances
should water be allowed to penetrate the equipment. Disinfectants should be used only on
the foil keypad of the display panel.
The following disinfectants are allowed:
Methylated spirits; isopropanol; 2% Kohrsolin; 1% aqueous Sokrena solution; 5% Sagrotan;
5% Gigasept. Do not spray the equipment or the connecting plug.

4.6 Maintenance and service

Metrological inspection was carried out at the initial verification when the product was
manufactured. Other regular metrological controls (recalibrations) are to be carried out by
the competent weights and measures authorities according to the relevant national
regulations. Repairs and replacement of the power cable must be carried out only at a
centre authorised by Soehnle Professional, and using original parts.
The device must be undergo preventative inspections regularly (6 monthly intervals). The
scales are to be loaded with a known weight and the value displayed compared with the test
weight. In the event of any deviations maintenance or calibration must be carried out.
If the equipment is not functioning normally, it is probably because it has been damaged. In
this case, it must be returned to a service centre authorised by Soehnle Professional. When
repaired by an authorised service centre, only original replacement parts must be used.
Original parts are identified by the order numbers indicated in the service documentation.
The function of the installed batteries should be checked periodically. If necessary the
battery must be replaced by trained service personnel. A suitable tool is necessary for this.
